Delightful Pupils

Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and unique perspectives bring energy and inspiration to our daily work. Every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Supportive Families

We value strong partnerships with families. Our welcoming parents and guardians are essential collaborators in our mission to provide the best possible education and care for our pupils.

Engaged Governors

Our dedicated governors actively support the school’s development, helping us maintain high standards, continuously improve, and implement innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

Open Communication

We encourage prospective staff to visit us, meet the team, and experience the positive, inclusive atmosphere we cultivate. Your questions, ideas, and feedback are always welcome.

Career and Training Opportunities

We are committed to professional growth. Staff have access to a wide range of training and development opportunities, career pathways, and mentoring to help you thrive in your role.

Staff Wellbeing and Support

At Harlow Fields, we prioritise staff wellbeing because a healthy, happy workforce leads to stronger outcomes for pupils. Our initiatives include:

  • Complimentary Refreshments: Free tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits in the staffroom to create a relaxed, welcoming environment.

  • Flexible PPA: Teachers can take Planning, Preparation, and Assessment time at home to support a better work-life balance.

  • Hybrid Working Options: Where possible, staff can work from home to suit individual needs.

  • Wellbeing Champions: A dedicated wellbeing group is available to support staff with any wellbeing concerns.

  • Annual Wellbeing Day: A day each year dedicated to staff relaxation, reflection, and rejuvenation.

  • Flexible Training Options: End-of-term training can be accessed on-site or via e-learning to suit staff preferences.

  • Access to Support Services: Staff benefit from counselling, financial support, physiotherapy, GP services, and menopause support.

  • Menopause Policy: We provide tailored support for staff experiencing menopause-related challenges.

  • Communication Guidelines: To encourage work-life balance, we discourage emails being sent before 8 am or after 6 pm.

Our Culture: We foster a collaborative, positive, and inclusive environment. At Harlow Fields, everyone looks out for one another – because together, we succeed!
