Welcome to Harlow Fields School and College Clubs!

At Harlow Fields School and College, we believe in the importance of providing our pupils with a variety of extracurricular opportunities that extend their learning beyond the classroom. Under the guidance of Tanya Michael and her dedicated team, our clubs are designed to cater to the diverse interests and needs of our pupils, fostering a sense of community and personal growth. The clubs rotate each half term, ensuring that pupils have the chance to explore new activities and engage with different peers throughout the school year.

Currently, our offerings include a range of engaging clubs tailored for different age groups and abilities. The Lower School Club invites younger pupils to explore our new specialist playground equipment, with collection from the main reception at 3:40 PM. For our pupils in Blake & Morris and those with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), specific details about their club can be obtained from Becky and Megan, with collection from the Upper School hall at 3:45 PM. Upper School students have the opportunity to participate in several clubs, including the Football Club, which meets in the Upper School hall at 3:45 PM, and the Sensory Club, also collecting from the main reception at the same time. Additionally, our Singing and Signing Makaton Club encourages creative expression through music and communication, providing a supportive environment for Upper School students to engage and participate.  Our school clubs run on a Tuesday evening whilst our College clubs which are pupil led are run during lunch breaks.

In addition to our school clubs, we are proud to host Sam's Place, a youth group for young people with special needs run by Harlow Council, located at Harlow Fields School and College. Sam's Place provides a wide range of opportunities for social interaction and development for children and young people with disabilities, welcoming those aged 8 to 19 who live in Harlow and the West Essex area. The Saturday Club offers sessions from 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM for children aged 8 to 10 and from 1:15 PM to 4:00 PM for young people aged 11 to 19, operating on a fortnightly basis during school term time.

Additionally, the Play Scheme runs four days a week during the Easter and summer school holidays, with sessions from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, split into age ranges for children aged 8 to 10 and young people aged 11 to 19. The Youth Club meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM during term time, providing a safe and engaging environment for children and young people aged 8 to 19, supported by a dedicated team of parent/carer volunteers. For more information about Sam's Place, please contact Deborah Jackson at 01279 446190 or 07730 750375, or email at deborah.jackson@harlow.gov.uk.

These extracurricular clubs not only enhance our pupils' skills and interests but also promote social interaction and teamwork. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued and supported in their extracurricular pursuits. We encourage all pupils to take part in these enriching activities and look forward to seeing them thrive in our clubs!
